These are my preferred headphones for edm and modern rap. Very good wide soundstage, detail and separation. I had been using sony ierz1r which on some tracks shift the music mix emphasis to much on the sub bass and lack male vocal. With the LZ A7 the tuneing possibilities are extensive. I went for maximum bass detail ,impact and soundstage. Used " astel and kern sp2000 copper " and tripowen c8 cable, balanced output, black filter, monitor switch, firm fitting dekoni mercury tips, no Eq .And then wow I used a day and half a night, couldn't take them out.The speed music drops around the soundstage is amazing. It sounded OK on my s20 phone and agptec a05st mp3 player with the supplied cable. LZA7 seems to be factory tuned for maximum detail with very good treble extension, so if you're using a bright player like " ak sp2000 stainless steel " or monolith amp" or even silicone tips you might need to Eq or try a pure copper cable to lower the brightness. But for most phones or cord mojo should be fine.
