Starting with the packaging and accouterments,
The box that comes in is rather simple with decent presentation once you open it up. I was hoping for something a little more “exciting” for a flagship at this price but it does its job as well as it needs to.
In the box you get the IEMs themselves, a very nice cable, adapters for 3.5mm balanced 3.5mm unbalanced and 4.4mm balanced, a zippered carrying case, 6 pairs of ear tips(3 foam, 3 rubber), and a cleaning cloth.
The included cable feels Very solid with high quality cable braiding and metal hardware all around. There's so much metal used that it actually makes the cable quite heavy which can pull the IEMs loose if you're walking around. I would not recommend the stock cable for portable use. Otherwise 10/10
The "nozzle" of the IEM is rather large and I ended up having to use the smallest foam ear tips included to make them comfortable to wear.
The Sound:
They are very clean, with noticeably crisp resolution detail and exceptional imaging.
Overall I would describe the sound signature as fleeing closer to a neutral IEM with a nice medium V-shape added to “pretty” things up.
Bass is sharp and punchy when it needs to be.Same goes to treble although I'd say you get a fair bit more of it than is proportional to your bass and mid bass in a typical v-shape
Vocals. I have yet to hear anything else with such forward prominent vocals as V16s. Everything seems business as usual around the mid-range you expect to hear speech then BAM! Someone starts singing and you can hear them twice as clear as day standing out from all the other sounds. Very good extra pronounced lyrics and dialog is what you’re looking for
Mosty based on this sole characteristic I would describe the v16s as somewhat song dependent. While overall they sound great across different styles and genres certain tracks sound very unbalanced with the pronounced vocals. But such cases are few and with some forethought you could probably figure out which tracks may sound odd on the Divinitys.
Overall they are very enjoyable to listen to and just about everything you'd expect from a flagship albeit at a flagship price and with 1 caveat. I rate them 8/10 Recommended
