Tin HiFi – C2
Hello everybody! Happy New year! Today I would like to talk bit about Tin Hifi – C2. I did receive the IEM for free from soul reward giveaway but I wasn’t required biased review towards the brand or IEM.
Introduction.
Build Quality – C2 is built very well. All metal construction and feels very solid and light weight. Only Issue is cold touch during initial wear during winter days. The design definitely looks copied to Campfire Andromeda but fit is very good to my ear. During my long wear session, I did not have to adjust it.
Cable – I loved that we are getting de attachable cable at this price point but I just wish it was MMCX version instead of recessed 2 pin. For the price of the IEM, I don’t think you can complain too much about the cable. It is not fancy looking but gets the job done and doesn’t feel like it will break during regular use.
Audio Review
Song genre – Symphonic metal, rock and EDM, Pop songs.
Music Band Tested On – Within Temptation, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Dragon force, Bass hunter, Alan walker, Ava Max etc.
Device Used – FIIO KA3, FIIO M11.
Treble – C2 does the treble pretty good. There is no sibilance or fatiguing to listen to it for long period of time. Guitar riff and snare sounds really good with this IEM. I listen to mostly female Symphonic metal and you can tell the sharp but non fatiguing sound of guitar and piano really well with it. It feels airy with sound stage. It is fairly wide. For the price and having a bit of wide sound stage really helps bring the high end forward.
Mids – I think the main beauty of this IEM is how good the Mids sound in this IEM. It is VERY Mid forward and it favors the female artist the most. You will feel like you are listening to the artist singing right Infront of you. Having bit of sound stage and instruments in the back and strong Mids gives great sense of immersion.
Bass – I do believe Bass is not the strong suit of this IEM. I would not say it doesn’t exist. However, it does feel little bit flat sounding and lacks the punch or tonality. It sounds bit dry. Probably because of the dip in lower region of frequency it gives that wider sound stage. I am not complaining for the price of the IEM. If you are bass head this might not be IEM for you.
Conclusion – For the price to performance C2 is very solid IEM. In this range other IEM I can think is MoonDrop CHU and Tripowin Mele. Moon drop and Tripowin mele are bit more refined than tinhifi and have more bass but Tin hifi does better in sound stage and treble in my opinion and for the price of C2 you cannot go wrong. I give it solid B+. Thank you for listening in! Have a great year folks.
