Disclaimer
I recently received the SIMGOT EA500 iem from Linsoul, courtesy of their Soul Rewards Giveaway. This will be my fourth review since joining Linsoul’s Soul Reward. My personal collection includes some of Thieaudio’s flagship V16 & MKII and upper mid tier moondrop iems, as well as some Hifiman headphones. I’ve previously reviewed BLON Z200, KZ-EDX Ultra, and the BLON Fat Girl iems, and will be reviewing the SIMGOT EA500 iem as lower mid tier level iem as it is priced at $79.00 USD.
Design & Fit
The quality of the SIMGOT EA500 is good, the aesthetic in my opinion is clean but it can be a little too reflective for my taste. It is encased in a silver housing with a grey/white etched logo and "EA500" at the top of the earbud. Although I have only had them for a short time the iem also feel durable. For the comfort and fit, I found that the shape, size, and feel of earbuds and the default ear tips to be good straight out of the box, much better sizing compared to beginner/entry level iems which I personally find to be slightly bulkier. When compared to the beginner/entry level iems I’ve reviewed in the past the ear tips are standard and the earhook are comfortable and conform well to my ears.
Sound
After going through a list of different songs with the SIMGOT EA500, I found the mids to be the best as the vocals and instruments were clear, well balanced, and had a good amount of depth and detail. The lows and bass were also good with heavy sounding drums but it could use some improvement as it is sometimes sounds shallow. The highs are okay and the iems came with black and red tuning rings for the detachable nozzles that helped boost and reduce treble respectively, no complaints and a really great inclusion in terms of accessories.
The greatest strengths of the EA500 are the mids and for my personal taste the bass could use some work. Overall, for $79.00 USD the SIMGOT EA500 is a well tuned lower mid level iem if you are not a basshead. From a recommendation standpoint, I would recommend it to first time buyers who are willing to spend around $50 to $100.
